Home Instead Fareham and Gosport join Hampshire Dementia Action Alliance

Home Instead Senior Care Fareham and Gosport are pleased to announce our membership of the Hampshire Dementia Action Alliance.

The Dementia Action Alliances as a movement have one simple aim; to bring about a society wide response to dementia. It encourages and supports communities and organisations across England to take practical actions to enable people to live well with dementia and reduce the risk of costly crisis intervention.

Home Instead in Fareham and Gosport have developed an action plan in support of the overall aim of the Alliance movement and specifically the Hampshire Alliance which includes ensuring that staff are well trained to support clients living with dementia and their carers, offer training in the local community and ensure we signpost people to other support resources.

Our full action plan can be viewed by following the link below.

John James, Managing Director, of Home Instead in Fareham said:

’We are very pleased to be part of such a worthwhile group of organisations working together to transform the lives of people with dementia and their carers. We have a number of initiatives we are involved in to help to make the aims of the Alliance a practical reality.

In relation to the services we offer we aim to provide the most comprehensive dementia support training programme to our staff of any local provider and we have already began the process of ensuring we meet that objective.”
