Digital Champions Programme

Barclays Digital Eagles provides training on digital skills and builds digital confidence. The programme enables Home Instead offices to have a trained ‘Digital Champion’.

Why is this partnership important?

Delivered by Barclays Digital Eagles and supported through the Barclays Digital Wings online platform, the training builds knowledge and confidence to enable the Digital Champion to support and upskill Care Professionals and clients.

The Digital Champions programme is made up of four, 90-minute virtual sessions, where they discover and learn how to train others on:

Digital basics
Digital safety
How to stay connected in the digital world

This partnership helps us to support our Care Professionals and clients to enhance their digital understanding and confidence.

What does this partnership help achieve?

Home Instead sees first-hand the positive effects of older adults being tech-savvy. In fact, older adults who regularly text or video call are 32% more likely to have been in touch with loved ones often, while 18% are more likely to feel deeper connections, compared to ageing adults who use technology less or not at all. The training enables the Digital Champion to help older adults ensure their personal safety while online, carry out tasks like video calling, and enjoy the benefits the online world brings.

Their training empowers our Digital Champions to be more confident and work more efficiently, meaning that they can spend more time focusing on what’s important – caring for you and your loved ones.
