An award winning service which allows elderly people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible, living an independent and fulfilling life, has celebrated its first year in business in Epsom.
With the country’s elderly population growing at an ever-increasing rate* and social care budgets under review, demand for Home Instead’s service is on the increase. The local couple behind the business, Paul and Jill Tame, said they would create 50 jobs when the business launched just over 12 months ago they and that’s just what they’ve done.
Paul and Jill Tame opened the Epsom office of Home Instead in March last year.
They wanted to run a business in their local community which would make a difference to people’s lives and put them at the heart of the community they lived in.
The couple are extremely proud of their dedicated and hardworking team of caregivers who provide a range of services which can include helping around the home, meal preparation, personal care, respite provision as well as specialist assistance with dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
They also accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, errands and even social visits to family and friends or days out to places such as National Trust properties, or anywhere else they would like to go.
“We’ve seen the business grow and grow since opening,” said Jill who goes on to add “it’s extremely rewarding when you come away from a day at work knowing that you have brightened someone’s day. The feedback we have received from clients and caregivers has been truly uplifting. Our clients love the service that we offer and we have made a really positive impact on their lives.”
