Choosing Home Instead Wheathampstead for personalised home care
Our support extends beyond the home to help clients stay connected with the welcoming Wheathampstead community they love. We regularly accompany clients to dementia-friendly clubs and events, where gentle activities and friendly conversations over tea create meaningful social connections. Our Care Professionals help clients maintain cherished routines like visits to the Memorial Hall for community events or peaceful walks through Nomansland Common, keeping that vital sense of belonging alive.
Our Wheathampstead Team is With You Through Every Step
We are led by husband and wife team Nick and Fiona Harrall, who established our service with a simple vision, providing care they'd want for their own family members. Our team brings 15 years of dementia care expertise to every relationship, with Fiona ensuring standards remain high and helping create a dementia-friendly community, while Nick oversees daily operations. Every Care Professional completes extensive dementia training before being carefully matched with clients based on shared interests and compatibility.
This commitment to high standards carries through into the community initiatives we run to bring people together. We opened our first Memory Café in St Albans in 2017, offering a warm, welcoming space every Wednesday at St Mary's Church in Marshalswick. Our Radlett café runs on alternate Tuesdays, providing the same friendly environment. Both are supported by local volunteers and offer tea, cake, and meaningful conversation. These hubs connect attendees with EMDASS, Carers in Herts, Admiral Nurses and Alzheimer's Society professionals.
We deliver tailored home care to the Wheathampstead community to nurture wellbeing and independence.
We adapt our services to fit your life, delivering compassionate, consistent, and attentive care, enabling you to thrive in your home and community.
