We are proud to say we have an amazing group of CAREGivers who are, professional, committed and reliable.  Most of our team have had some personal experience of caring for a loved one so they draw on this to encourage, assist and empower our clients over a wide range of activities.

Our CAREGivers aim to help improve our client's quality of life and help them maintain as much independence as possible.

Danielle Roberts

Danielle Roberts - Head of Operations

I had the pleasure of joining Home Instead in 2016 after training to be an Accountant, I originally joined as part of the National Office team, assisting with the full finance operation. During this time, I was able to explore all the operational aspects of running a Home Instead Franchise and put this into action for 18 months while I supported two of our Pilot offices.

I was delighted to be given the opportunity as Head of Operation so that I could see first-hand how Home Instead is changing the face of aging everyday and provide an excellent quality of care for the Wigan community.

Care Manager

Keran Farrow - Care Manager

I was privileged to join Home Instead in August 2017 as Care Manager.

As Care Manager, I have overall responsibility for the service to our clients. I have worked in care for over 30 years in a variety of settings; holding registration with CQC since 2004.

The main thing that attracted me to my current position is the wonderful values and company ethos, which completely fit with my personal values and beliefs. I am passionate about leading my wonderful team who make positive contributions to peoples lives on a daily basis within the borough of Wigan, where I live. 

I have a son, a daughter and one grandson who keep me busy when I’m not working.

In my spare time, I love to get out and about in the countryside walking with my partner, visiting country pubs to sample the delights on their menu, after a walk in the hills.

Recruitment and Training Officer

Linda Nye - Recruitment and Training Officer

I joined Home Instead Wigan in November 2016 as the Recruitment and Training Officer.  I felt privileged to join a company with a fantastic ethos around the quality of care that is delivered to older people.

I have worked in the care sector for 12 years in both residential facilities and home care.  I gained my Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management after joining Home Instead and have been a trainer since 2008. 

As an experienced trainer, I always strive for high quality, dynamic and engaging training for CAREGivers and other Key Players within the Wigan team.  My role also involves supporting everyone in changing the face of ageing in the Wigan area.

I lead on recruitment and retention of CAREGivers, supporting them from the initial enquiry and throughout their career, helping them to develop and progress with Home Instead.

Shirley Broster

Shirley Broster - Client Lead

I originally joined Home Instead in August 2016 as a senior CAREGiver. During the time I have been at Home Instead my role has developed, I have been able to use my years of experience in care to enhance our client’s quality of life and care provided. 

Within our office as Client Lead I handle client enquiries and conduct new client consultations while working closely with our Care Manager. 

Natalie Carter

Natalie Carter - Scheduler

I joined Home Instead in July 2016 as a CAREGiver.

In August 2020, I joined the office team taking on more responsibility. I helped the office team and covered the on-call duties at weekends, which resulted in me taking up a part-time senior CAREGiver role.

I have now been given the opportunity of a full-time scheduler, which started in April 2021.

I like to spend my spare time with my family & friends, I have three children who keep me busy.

Gillian Martin

Gillian Martin - Administrator

I worked as a Civil Servant for 27 years in Customer related roles including face to face and over the telephone. This gave me experience dealing with vulnerable people in a caring manner.

I am married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren, but I have a large extended family who all meet together regularly and support each other. I am an active member of my local Church where I helped in Sunday School and was on the Pastoral Team for a while. 

I came to Home Instead Wigan in September 2019 and work in an Administrative Role. I support office staff and CAREGivers to enable us all to provide the standard of care that Home Instead is known for.

Eileen Lloyd

Eileen Lloyd - Administrator

I joined Home Instead Wigan in August 2016 as a CAREGiver and have since joined the office team in an administrative role. Though I have always worked in customer services, this is my first role within the care profession.

I was a Civil Servant for 34 years and have vast experience of working with vulnerable people in all aspects of service delivery. On leaving the Civil Service, I was awarded The Imperial Service Medal in recognition of the meritorious service I rendered.

My aim is to support clients in their home, enabling them to remain safe and content within their own environment by displaying empathy and adapting to meet individual needs and wishes. To deliver this standard of care, it is crucial that CAREGivers and office staff liaise at all times, which I believe Home Instead demonstrates very effectively.
