About Home Instead Peterborough, Oundle and The Deepings
We believe there is a better way to provide homecare. For us, care and companionship go hand-in-hand, in visits that last a minimum of one hour. We believe quality care can't be delivered in less.
Phil and Amy know from experience what a tough decision it can be choosing which care provider to trust with looking after ageing loved ones. In 2010, Phil's Great Aunt Monica, based in Yorkshire, was in need of care visits after a fall in the home:
For Monica, like many older people, going into a care home was the least favoured or affordable option and all that was really required was some extra care and support to remain safely and happily at home, with carers that understood Monica's needs. That's when Phil and Amy first discovered Home Instead and they just knew they had to get involved when they saw the quality of care and support that the organisation could provide.
Phil & Amy saw the that the companionship focused, personalised approach to care was unique and that the quality of its care visits was the number one priority. Having a minimum visiting time of an hour (or an hour and a half depending on location) was also something they felt very passionately about and in January 2012 the husband and wife team proudly opened the Peterborough office.
Fast-forward to today and we are fully aware that the standard of care that we provide is only as good as our team of CAREGivers and that our selection process is uncompromising; focussing on the individual's compassion, reliability and empathy for others. We also look at each individual's particular interests so that we can match our clients and CAREGivers on compatibility. Each CAREGiver is carefully vetted, fully trained and DBS checked to ensure that they share our passion for delivering top quality care and going the extra mile for our clients and their families.

We requested, from our previous agency, that only one or two carers should be assigned to Mum so that a relationship could be formed. Despite promises this did not happen. We then contacted Home Instead in Peterborough and they have honoured their promise of assigning one or two main CAREGivers to Mum. There is always a speedy and efficient response to emails and phone calls and all the staff are very approachable and friendly. Even staff at the extra care accommodation where Mum lives have commented on how improved Mum is. She is much more content and physically improved, thank-you Home Instead.Mrs H (client's daughter)
