We often get asked, why are we different to other Home Care companies, so here are some of the reasons why we are very different:

It is our CAREGivers! Here at Home Instead Wembley we ask ourselves "would we send this person to our own mum or dad?" We are very selective about who joins our Team.

We are not an agency. Our CAREGivers are employed by us so we are able to offer continuous high quality care through a dedicated, motivated and committed CAREGiver.

All our CAREGivers regardless of experience complete our market-leading training programme and are given an on-going programme of professional development.

We are specialists in providing dementia care at home we aim to improve outcomes through the care and support we have delivered to our clients.

CAREGivers are managed, supported by our Registered Care Manager and our CAREGivers have access to support whenever they need it.

Michelle W - Niece of Client

I would like to sincerely thank all of the team, both carers and management, who cared for my uncle so well for the past few months before he passed away. He was well looked after and treated with the utmost dignity by the two lovely ladies who I know will miss his great sense of humour and many the joke! The management team were always at the end of the phone and ready to reply- even at weekends which we really appreciated. I can’t really speak any more highly of the kindness, care and compassion that my uncle received from all the staff and we are forever indebted to you.

Thank you for all the help you offer my Mum, 100 years old has its challenges but the Home Instead staff meet these with real professionalism.

The service, care and consideration of Home Instead, from the management through to the carers is exemplary throughout the time that my mother has had her care package. The carers were far better than any I have come across in terms of knowing what to do, listening to my mother, engaging with her in a friendly non-judgemental and respectful way and went at times way beyond what one would expect from a carer, especially such as an emergency in the evening. The carers were not just good at the care but were able to make food and clean up and deal with any sorts of emergencies.

I am very happy with the quality of care provided by Home Instead Senior Care to my 91-year-old father. He values the reliability and consistency of the care. He enjoys the company and the relationship that he builds up with the carers. This includes driving him to his classes.

Without the support of the Home Instead team, I would not be able to keep my dad in the stable and comfortable state he is in.
Home Instead team of management and carers go that extra mile to accommodate any extra care that we need. Nothing ever is too much for them. They not only care for my dad but also do small things (thoughtful gestures) that make my carer's role that little bit easier.

Shazaib - CAREGiver

As an aspiring doctor, I wanted to join Home Instead Wembley to strengthen my bed-side manner and gain an in-depth insight into care that is lacking in my studies at university. Working as a Caregiver for Home Instead Wembley has been a privilege. Amongst many other reasons, I particularly feel the staff is what makes it such a good experience, both for the Caregivers and clients.

There have been numerous instances where I have been impressed by the lengths they go to in ensuring the best outcome for our clients. My training was thorough and suitably practical, and helped me to explore all aspects of care such as medication and the complexities surrounding palliative care, which I have thoroughly enjoyed so far. Shadowing fellow caregivers really helped me to understand each client’s specific care requirements. Caregivers are perfectly matched to each client’s needs ensuring the care provided is highly tailored. I have not had to do anything I was not prepared for nor uncomfortable with. My working hours are really flexible, which was very useful in helping me provide care alongside my studies. It would be a cliché to say there is something new to learn everyday, but there really is. The conversations I have had with clients, that would sometimes get philosophical is something I really enjoy in my role.

Despite fulfilling my initial reasons for becoming a caregiver, I wish to continue to provide care at Home Instead Wembley, the primary reason being the funny, friendly and helpful staff and colleagues that work with me to provide outstanding care.

Nila - CAREGiver

I strongly recommend everyone who wants to give back to the community and those who care for loved ones to become CAREGivers and to join our enthusiastic and caring team at Home Instead as it is a very rewarding and fulfilling job.

Having worked with special needs children, I feel that the elderly are as vulnerable as children. I enjoy being a CAREGiver because I love working with the elderly and because I have an elderly mum and grandma I understand how it feels. I want to give something back to the community. It is very rewarding when you see the smile on the client's face when you visit them and how appreciative they are for the little things you do for them. I have worked with a few clients in the last few months at Home Instead, providing companionship, taking them shopping and just being there for them, having a cup of tea and a chat.

When I am with my client, I feel I am with one of my family members and provide care as if they are one of mine. when I visit one of my clients, I read to him, we talk about our different experiences of travel because when I got to know him, I discovered that we both love travelling. He loves music and book, and he would talk about his visits. I look forward to each week when I go to visit him. They are an inspiration to me and I sometimes wonder if I will be as active and energetic as them if I get to that age.
