The Truro office of Home Instead has been open since 2009 and provides a premium companionship-based care service to our clients. Our focus is on building a trusting long-term relationship between our Care Professionals and the clients that they support.

Being a Home Instead Care Professional is a highly rewarding career where no two days are the same. With minimum 1 hour care visits, client introductions and client matching, you have the time to provide high quality, person-focused care. You will have full training and support from our our friendly and highly experienced team, including lots of on-the-job training to ensure you feel confident.

We are expanding our team and are looking for kind, caring and compassionate people who would enjoy spending time helping older people in their local community, and who would like to be part of a team that delivers care the way you’d like it to be delivered to you or a loved one.

  • Guaranteed hours – 15-25 hours/week, depending on availability

  • £13.50/hour weekdays up to 6pm + £1.63/hour holiday pay (£15.13/hour total)

  • £14.50/hour after 6pm and weekends + £1.75/hour holiday pay  (£16.25/hour total) 

  • Mileage paid at 45p/mile

  • Plus 3% pension

Your duties will include:

  • Companionship – ensuring our clients enjoy regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit.

  • Home Help – helping with everyday tasks such as shopping, meal preparation, light housework and accompanying clients to appointments and activities

  • Personal care – supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent.

  • You will need to be caring, compassionate and dependable

  • You will be required to work some evenings and some weekend shifts, but we will then aim to to build a schedule that works for you and for us. 

THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT THE APPLICANT:

RESIDES IN THE UK AND HAS THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK

HAS A VALID DRIVING LICENCE AND ACCESS TO RELIABLE TRANPORT.
