In March 2022, we hosted a series of Recruitment Open Days across Sheffield and Barnsley. The events were a great opportunity for Home Instead to get back out there and interact with the community about the work we do. We spoke to people about what our Care Professional roles can offer and how we support each other in our mission to 'change the face of ageing'.
To spread the word, we leaflet-dropped all across Sheffield and Barnsley, put up posters in community centres and shops, as well as heavily promoting on social media. It was amazing to see the engagement we got back, from people both with and without previous experience in the Care sector, ranging from students to retirees.
We also had the pleasure of meeting with a journalism student from the University of Sheffield to talk about our Open Days and help get the word out there even more. This interview was published to the university's newspaper (ShefNews), providing an insight into the 'Home Instead Way': our career opportunities, flexibility and award-winning training, as well as community projects.
