Home Instead's Next Workshop: Wednesday 25th February
Home Instead's Next Workshop: Wednesday 25th February

Home Instead Senior Care are next week hosting their latest days of this series of our FREE Family Dementia workshops at Heeley City Farm.

Our last workshop covered day 1 of our workshops (Alzheimer’s Disease and other Dementias) and with around 15 participants, it was a very successful event. We invited all of our Day 1 participants as well as other within the community to attend our day 2 of the workshops which will cover; Capturing Life’s Journey and Techniques to manage challenging behaviours.

Sarah Oldham, Home Instead’s Head of Care who delivers the workshops said:

“Day 1 of our workshops was brilliant and it was great to see so many people attend, our workshops are all about creating awareness of Dementia in the community and providing people with information about the disease that they may not easily find elsewhere.

“I was quite nervous for the first day as we had Sheffield Live TV attending to interview me about Home Instead and our workshops, we now have that on our YouTube Channel which is great as we can make more people aware of our workshops.

“Day 2 is an interesting workshop because while day 1 gives you a background into Alzheimer’s disease and other Dementia’s, Day 2 looks closer at how to deal with someone with dementia and is more engaging with the audience”.
