It would be ideal for people to attend all four sessions to gain an all round knowledge and use the course to its full potential.  Once you have done so you will receive a Learners certificate. It does not matter in which order you attend as we will continue with the workshops in the New Year as our ongoing commitment. As you may have noticed workshop day 1 has already been and gone, yet we will be hosting this workshop again at a later date and you don't need to attend the first one to understand the material in workshop day 2.

The Home Instead Senior Care, family workshops will educate and support people to identify the typical signs of dementia and gain a better understanding of the condition. It will also arm family carers and others in the community with effective techniques for managing the many different and sometimes challenging behaviours associated with dementia including refusal, delusions, aggression, false accusations, wandering and agitation.

Although we believe family members will most benefit from these workshops, we are not limiting them just to family members. They will be available to local people living and working in the community, in fact, they will be accessible to anyone who may interact with someone with dementia. Our aim is to reach increase awareness in the local community.

If you would like to book a place on any of the above workshops, or if you require any further information please call 0114 246 9666.
