On Wednesday 29th of July Home Instead hosted Day 2 and 3 of their workshop. Once again this was a huge success and we have already organised Day 4 to complete the workshop. We believe this will be a great success and we would love to see the familiar faces of those who have attended day 1, 2 and 3 already but we also welcome any new faces. It is important to note that you do not have to attend the previous days of the workshop to attend Day 4.
These workshops are FREE for anyone to attend and we provide you with all the details that you would require if your loved one or someone else you know is living with dementia.
Below is a breakdown of how the workshop is split into the 3 days:
Day 1 of the workshop covers a broad background into Alzheimer’s disease and other Dementias and is a fantastic opportunity for members of the community to come along and get a clearer insight into Dementia and what they can do to stop the signs of this disease.
Day 2 & 3 includes capturing life’s journey and techniques to handle challenging behaviours
And finally Day 4 involves a range of activities to encourage engagement and participation
We received very positive feedback from this workshop and all attendees are looking forward to attending day 4. We had comments such as “Engaging workshop; very interactive”, “Enjoyable presentation and presenter”.
The workshop that took place last week on the 29th was our new Marketing Assistant Lucy’s first time and these were her words:
“I found the workshop so interesting, from the moment I walked into the workshop to the moment I left I felt engaged. It was very interesting to listen to the stories that people told and I would encourage anyone who has a loved one who is living with dementia to attend Day 4 of the workshop, and I promise you will not be disappointed with the information you are provided”
