Home Instead Host Successful Recruitment Event!

Home Instead have recently been trying to recruit carers in Sheffield to provide care for our lovely clients in the local area. They have had a string of recruitment open days which have attempted to stir interest within those wanting to make a difference in the local community.

The most recent recruitment event was at The Red Lion Pub in Grenoside and was hugely successful. The open day was held between 10am and 3:30pm and brought in potential candidates of all ages and personalities. Of the 10 people that attended, 8 were put through to a face to face interview stage at the Sheffield North office which is testament to the first impression the attendees created.

Kathy Markwick, Tina Gilbert and Bradley Maw hosted the event which was aimed at giving people an overview of what Home Instead is all about and having a chat about what they are looking for when it comes to working in care.

Tina Gilbert HR Manager at Home Instead Sheffield North said: “It’s great to have recruitment events within the area because it gives us a chance to meet new people and have a little chat about us and get to know the potential candidates a little bit to see whether they may have the right personality for Home Instead”.

“To become a care companion at Home Instead requires an individual who is a naturally caring and talkative person so hosting events such as this gives us an idea about which people could be right for the role allowing us to decide whether a face to face interview is appropriate”.

Home Instead are continuing their efforts to recruit individuals who are interested in part time care work to support our clients within the Sheffield South area.
