Home Instead based in Ecclesfield is delighted to welcome new Community Development Officer, Karen Dennis to their team. The company provides care services to older people across Sheffield.
Karen is a local girl and lives in Bolsterstone; she knows the area really well and has also worked on a variety of local community based projects over the past 10 years. She brings a wealth of experience having been a former project manager for the Worsbrough Common Community Association and worked as a Community Development Officer for a housing association.
In her role for Home Instead Karen will be out and about in the community establishing and developing relationships with other community service providers with a view to providing the best possible care to help older people to live independent lives in their own homes for as long as they possibly can.
Karen is married to Steve, the village sub postmaster in Low Bradfield. She is really enjoying working with the people at Home Instead.
“The team here are fantastic, you just know that they are caring people from the moment that you meet them and I am looking forward to spreading the word about the excellent services that we provide.”
Karen is a social person, so in her spare time she enjoys meeting up with family and friends. She has three best friends from when she was at school and still sees them regularly!
