Supporting Young People (18+) and People with Disabilities

Young adults can also receive companionship, home help, personal care and support from Home Instead Senior Care, as well as elderly people. All of our care services have been expanded to provide help and support to adults with disabilities and/or behavioural difficulties. CAREGivers are able to create a sociable and friendly environment for all of our clients which enables them to develop their self confidence and independence.

Independence, choice and equality are our main aims for any adult entering into our care.

We currently care for people with:

Autism, Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Sensory Impairment, M.E, Challenging Behaviours, Brain Injury, Spinal Injury, Osteoarthritis and many more.

We have excellent links to health professionals and organisations, who we regulalry collaborate with to create and better our care packages for young adults.  We also recognise that choosing the right CAREGiver can be critical to getting care right for our clients, and that is why we facilitate introductions between clients and CAREGivers to identify if the client will be comfortable with that particular CAREGiver in that package of care.

We understand how important this is for anyone receiving support and particularly for people with Autism and learning disabilities. Futhermore families who live with their clients can also benefit from the respite this service provides for them; by taking clients out on day trips or by simply providing that much needed companionship for their loved one.
