So what makes our quality home care any different from other home care providers in Sheffield?
Quality Home care in Sheffield inclusive of everyone (18+)
Home Instead Sheffield provide care in the home, so that people can remain both comfortable and independent in familiar surroundings. In spite of what our name suggests, we not only provide care for the elderly, we also provide care for young adults and in fact anyone aged 18 or over. We provide a large variation of home care which is based on an excellent understanding of what people require when it comes to maintaining their independence at home. Whether they have a disability or cognitive disease, our CAREGivers have had quality training which equips them with the tools to provide outstanding care to our clients.
An award winning franchise, with CQC compliance
Home Instead has an award winning background due to our consistently high standard of care, upheld by all of our franchises (including this one). 2013 was one of our most successful years yet, as we won the National Great British Care Award and became finalist for the Yorkshire and Humberside Care Awards for dignity in care. Home Instead Sheffield South are also fully compliant with the standards set by the Care Quality Commission as of December 2013. We have always met with the national standards of health and social care set by the CQC and have also matched the high standards of Home Instead on a national level. We are delighted by the quality of home care work that we provide.
Longer care visits, with a guarantee of no missed calls
We want to provide outstanding care to all of our clients and we feel that the way to do this is to provide longer care visits so we can fulfill the needs of our clients and get to know them on a personal level. Our care visits can range from a couple of hours to 24 hours a day, with all home care flexible and tailored to the clients wants and needs. Our Care Managers regularly monitor the care we provide by conducting risk assessments and quality assurance checks to ensure that everyone is happy with their package of care, and to identify any further support that may be required.
Some families who live further away from their loved ones may be concerned about whether or not the care is taking place as it should be. However Home Instead Sheffield implement an IQ time card system, this ensures that CAREGivers arrive on time for each care visit by clocking in, and moreover provides a guarantee of no missed calls. Office staff constantly monitor this system to make certain that CAREGivers are where they should be.
The best people to provide the best care
Our CAREGivers are chosen specifically for their empathy, understanding and passion to deliver high quality care to our clients. CAREGivers during the application stage must provide six extensive references, and are subject to an enhanced DBS check to ensure that our clients will be in safe and capable hands. Both induction and refresher training is provided to all CAREGivers, with an option to undertake specialist Alzheimer and Dementia training to ensure they are prepared to deliver care to any of our clients. Even before the care package begins clients are always introduced to CAREGivers to identify if the client will feel comfortable with the CAREGiver. Trust is a key element of care and without it, clients will not feel comfortable, that is why we undertake a matching process so in time a natural and trusting friendship can emerge. We are currently recruiting CAREGivers so If you think you would make an excellent CAREGiver please apply through ‘Our Vacancies’ or call the office.
Jill and I live in the local area and believe that a family run care company is the most effective way of really understanding the needs of the elderly in the local community. We have had first hand experience when it comes to care for people with disabilities and mental health problems and thoroughly believe that by providing care services in Sheffield, which allows our loved ones to remain both independent and comfortable at home, we can provide a better standard of living for them, and keep them close to us. Our promise to you is to provide care at a standard, that we would expect to provide to one of our own family members.
