Our Amazing CAREGivers

We have over 75 CAREGivers supporting around 135 clients. Each and every CAREGiver is unique with ages ranging from 20 to 70.  We aim to match our CAREGivers to our clients as much as humanly possible.

Here at Home Instead we believe that is takes a certain type of person to become a Home Instead CAREGiver.  The people we employ have a vocation to make a difference to someone's life.  Our staff are recruited for their passion, empathy, understanding and patience, someone that genuinely cares about the welfare of others.

Christine Allen

Christine Allen - Registered Care Manager

After working in the Health Care Sector for the past fifteen years, I have finally found a Company which I can honestly say I enjoy getting up for!  The ethos for which Home Instead stands for attracted me to the role I am now in, and could not be any closer to my own beliefs of how care should be delivered.

Due to being interested in Care and being a person who enjoys helping people I was offered a job as a Care Assistant within a well know nursing home in Northampton.  After 3-months I was promoted to Senior Carer and alongside this I studied 'Level 3 BTEC National Certificate in Health Studies' and completed a two year course which I really enjoyed.

I joined Home Instead in April 2013 and Qualified in QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management in 2015.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and all aspects of home life.  Home Instead ticks all my boxes of how my role fits in with my home life and I couldn't be happier.

Angela Wing - Business Operations and Development Manager

I recently joined Home Instead as the Business Operations and Development Manager.

I have a wealth of experience and strong background in Business Operations and Finance having worked in a variety of roles and industries during the past 30 years including a large Mental Healthcare setting, a Special School for children with special educational, mental health needs and more recently in a Medical Practice.

My role is extremely varied and allows me to get involved in all aspects of the business and look at new opportunities to grow the business.  I am very proud to be part of Home Instead and the great ethos and values very much reflect on my own.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my partner and daughter, socializing and eating out with friends, swimming and watching Formula One.

Rhiannon Crofts

Rhiannon Crofts - Care Manager

My name is Rhiannon Crofts and I am a new Care Manager here at Home Instead.

I have lived in Northampton for 5 years, and I have two girls who bring the biggest smile to my face and who I am so very proud of.

With a career of over 25 years in the Health and Social Care sector, I am passionate about being an advocate of client service excellence and for this reason I am very proud to be part of the Outstanding Service here at Home Instead.

As Care Manager my aim is to maintain the highest standard of care that we provide and together as a team we will strive to continually improve the services we deliver, placing the clients at the heart of everything that we do, meeting individual needs with passion and commitment.

When not working I love to spend time with my girls and family and I enjoy visiting the theatre and going to concerts. For my quiet times I love to get lost in a good book.

Kelly Mennim

Kelly Mennim – Deputy Care Manager

After finishing a Care Diploma at Northampton College Kelly began looking for a job in the care sector which would fit around her young family.  Kelly started working for Home Instead in January 2014 as a CAREGiver, working on a part time basis to fit around her home life.  Over time the position gradually grew to full time hours where she was promoted to a Senior CAREGiver.  As her role as a Senior Kelly often helped out in the office learning new skills and gained knowledge on how HISC operated.  

It’s now been 8.5 years since Kelly started and she has loved every minute and learnt so much, including completing her Level 3 QCF in Care. 

Kelly was promoted in July 2016 to Head of Client Experience where she became office based and looked after the Quality Assurance for our clients.  This role suited her perfectly because she still had regular contact and visits with all the clients.  Kelly quotes “I love the way Home Instead works and the person centered approach we take with the clients and their care”.

In 2020 Kelly was promoted to Deputy Care Manager where she is responsible for the client acquisition.

Jade Tait

Jade Tait - Client Quality Assurance

Jade joined Home Instead in October 2017 as a CAREGiver.  In November 2019 an opportunity arose within the office team and Jade was offered the position of Recruitment Manager.  

In January 2021 Jade moved over to the client side of the business and is now responsible for Client Quality Assurance.  Jade is really happy to be out and about in the community supporting our clients, making sure that the service they receive is meeting all their needs.

Having the knowledge and understanding of the role as a CAREGiver Jade has the right skills to identify what is required when interviewing for potential new staff.  

Hannah Buckley

Hannah Buckley - Field Supervisor

I joined Home Instead Northampton in December 2021 after working for the NHS of 15 years in total, my last post being in the operating theatres at Northampton General Hospital as a Theatre Support Worker.

I have always felt it is a privilege to be allowed to provide the most personal care and a great joy to share clients company.

I love to share my knowledge with other CAREGivers for them to gain confidence and to help them grow in their roles and become the best they can be.

Outside of work I enjoy watching rugby especially Northampton Saints, travelling, volunteering for a local Cancer Charity and seeing friends.

Georgie Williams

Georgie Williams - Head of CAREGiver Training

Georgie joined Home Instead in August 2015 as a CAREGiver and 18-months was later promoted to a Senior. Georgie previously worked for another Domiciliary Care Agency and whilst she loved her work she felt that the company did not really have the clients best interests at heart. Georgie said "She quickly realised that the way Home Instead delivered care was miles apart from other care companies".

Having worked alongside fellow CAREGivers Georgie said "I know that our staff genuinely care about our clients and that they look forward to working closely with them on a daily basis offering support & encouragement for them to live independently in their own homes

In August 2018 Georgie was promoted to Head of CAREGiver Training.  She says she is proud to be part of the Home Instead team and that she works with amazing people on a daily basis who really do care about their job role.

Emma Bennett

Emma Bennett - CAREGiver Compliance

I joined Home Instead Northampton in July 2019 after working in the NHS for over 30 yrs as a Nurse.  I started as CAREGiver and I am now office based and responsible for CAREGiver Compliance .

I chose Home Instead due to the care they give to the client, continuity of care and small teams that build relationships with the client and the wider team.

Everyone is really supportive and caring towards the Clients and CAREGivers and I have felt most welcomed since I arrived also it feels like working in a big family.

Outside of work I have a son who lives in Brighton and is in a band, and I have a wonderful old dog who keeps me on my toes.

Emma Cockerill - Recruitment Manager

I have been in healthcare for 17-years and have loved every minute of it.  I have worked with children, young adults, and the elderly, all within Care Homes and Domiciliary settings.

I started work in Domiciliary care as a Carer, upon returning from maternity leave I was promoted to a Senior.   I later progressed to being a Trainer, Scheduler, Deputy Manager and now Recruitment Manager with Home Instead.

I have only been at Home instead a short time, but everyone is very welcoming, caring and passionate about what they do.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going camping and being outdoors. We also enjoy family nights when we can.

Tina Broadbent

Tina Broadbent - Reception / Administrator

Tina started with Home Instead in February 2018 and has been in care for about 4-years. Upon leaving school Tina trained as a Chef and worked in the catering sector for just over 10-years. Once Tina had a family due to the unsociable hours of being a Chef, she moved on to work in customer services. Once her girls were more independent Tina went back to work in the hotel catering trade for 9-years at the Walnut Tree Inn, she loved the challenge & met great people but worked very long hours. During her time there she got chatting with a local customer and he was looking for care for his Daughter with complex needs.

In 2014 Tina became a PA with this lady whom lived independently but required extra support. Tina loved every minute of her new profession and made a great friend’s through being her PA. Tina still goes on Holidays and Social occasions with these friends.

This gave Tina a completely new angle on care in the community from young adults to our ageing society that want to remain at home. Being a PA drew her in and she felt she could offer a lot to people who needed that little extra support in life.

Tina quotes “I came to Home Instead after working for another care company and I haven’t looked back”. Tina started as a CAREGiver out in the community where she had her own lovely clients. Tina’s skills were quickly recognised, and she is now full time in the office. Tina quotes “Thank you to Home Instead for believing in me and seeing my potential.

Outside work Tina enjoys cooking for friends and family.  Tina also enjoys the Cinema, shopping and spending time with her 2 Girls, husband and the family pets Diesel her Dog and Sebastian her corn snake.

Ray Warburton

Ray Warburton

Hello, my name is Ray Warburton and my wife Jo and I own and run the Home Instead Senior Care office for Northampton.

The majority of my working life was spent playing professional football predominantly with Northampton Town FC, Rotherham United and York City. I spent the latter part of my career with Rushden & Diamonds and Aldershot Town FC.  Mother Nature and dodgy knees forced retirement from full-time football in 2005 when I moved into property development.  I spent the next 4 years working for a Property Developer just outside London in the role of General Manager/Buyer.

After being made redundant in 2009 I started exploring the idea of running my own business.  I wanted to do something that was worthwhile and would make a genuine difference to the lives of others in my local community.  In August 2011 we opened the Northampton office.  Home Instead has such a fantastic ethos and has seen phenomenal growth in the last 13-years with over 200 offices in the UK.  The outstanding growth has been achieved by doing what it does best: delivering high quality personalised care at home for the elderly.  Home Instead now has over 45 'Outstanding' offices as rated by CQC & we are proud to be one of them

Out of office hours I enjoy cycling, golfing, watching football, travelling, socialising, eating out, walking our dog and spending quality time with my family.

Jo Warburton

Jo Warburton - Owner

Hi, I am Co-Owner of the business, and work on a part-time basis doing the accounts.

On leaving school, I worked for a large Corporate Company in Sheffield for 11 years in the Accounts Department before relocating to Northampton in 1994.  Previous to Home Instead I worked for a well-established Recruitment Consultancy in Northampton for 14-years.

Outside of work I enjoys socialising, eating out, reading, travelling and going to the theatre. I love spending quality time with my family & walking our dog Dotty!
