Our Old Basing, Basingstoke Team is With You Through Every Step

At Home Instead Basingstoke, we believe great home care begins with great carers – people who genuinely care about and connect with our clients. That’s why we carefully recruit those who share our values and show deep empathy for older adults. Following thorough training, we carefully match carers to clients so that each client has a small consistent team of carers whom they will get to know and trust. Diana, the daughter of a client in Old Basing, told us: “The lovely Care Professionals became like members of our family, consistently doing whatever was necessary to look after Mum and her evolving needs”. Old Basing has some interesting historic locations. Basing House was the largest private house in Tudor England, but was destroyed by Oliver Cromwell in 1645. Opposite the ruins is the Great Barn, dating from 1535, which hosts annual re-enactments of the siege of Basing House. Our blog Historic walks in north Hampshire gives more information about these and other historic locations around Basingstoke. We’re passionate about raising dementia awareness. In 2024, we brought The Dementia Challenge to the BDDF Disability Awareness Day. Join our “Let’s Sing for Memories” sessions at Milestones Museum for a joyful, therapeutic experience for anyone living with dementia and their carer. For dementia support, we are here to help.
