Thomas & Georgia Pennington - Owners
Thomas and georgia both worked in the British Army for 7-8 years before becoming Home Instead Senior Care Owners. Thomas started his journey by being employed by National Office in their IT department before starting his journey to become an owner and Georgia Set up her own Fitness Company after leaving the military but wanted to embark on something together that was going to make a difference and help people in their community.
Thomas and Georgia both fell in love with Home Instead as the ethos and values reminded them of what was instilled into them in the British Army.
Home Instead can make such a difference to peoples lives and this is what made their decisions so much easier as they wanted to be apart of that process, making a difference and helping people when their families and loved ones do not have the time or resources to do so.
Michelle - Care Manager
Following a career in the Prison Service spanning 20 years, Michelle decided to take voluntary redundancy and embarked on a career within the health and social care sector, Michelle started as a care and support worker in 2011 and has never looked back, she has worked her way up within the various job roles to the position of Care Manager and this is where she gained her Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and also Level 5 QCF Diploma in Leadership for health and social care and children and young people.
Michelle is very passionate about supporting people within their own homes and believes that everybody should have their own choices and independence and be treated with respect.
One year down the line we still have Michelle, we couldn't do all we have done with her input and wealth of knowledge, with care and compassion she leads the Office Staff and the CAREGivers to delivering care that not only people need but deserve.
Samantha - Head of CAREGiver Experience
After Following her Husband around the UK and Germany with his military role Samantha has always had a career in the care industry, she first interviewed for a CAREGiver position with us at Home instead Leigh, However, she went above and beyond our expectations during her interview and we knew how she would excel in the role as a scheduler which she did and has now progressed into the role of Head of CAREGiver Experience
Samantha started in September 2020 as part-time and within a week we knew we needed her full time, she is a fantastic part of the team and has really got our client's best interests at heart, she is extremely caring and really connects with the clients and CAREGivers.
Samantha has 2 years of Care experience and has gained so much more knowledge since joining our Team.
Eileen started with us at Home Instead Leigh early on as a CAREGiver and fast became an active influence within the CAREGiver team, she then took a break from care and then got in touch with us regarding an opening we had for a part-time office administrator, when we saw here CV cross our door we had to get her in for an interview, with her knowledge of our clients and the hands-on care experience she has slotted into our office and is now a key member of our team and a vital cog in the operations and delivering care to our clients
