Meet the team

Sarah - Managing Director

Hi, I’m Sarah and I am the Managing Director of Home Instead Senior Care – Guildford and Woking. Being part of this incredible and client focused franchise has been one of the most humbling experiences in my career.

Giving back to a community where so many desperately need our help and just need that extended family feeling has embraced everything I feel passionate about outside work. I have always felt that enveloping the family culture is really important. Watching your children grow, becoming young adults and then making families of their own gives you a sense of pride and contentment and to extend this feeling to our clients, expands my very rooted family traditions. There will always be trials and tribulations in families but to encourage that unity is the ethos of Home Instead Senior Care and I am incredibly lucky to be part of it.

When I’m not at work, I love exercise, gardening and dog walking with Brodie and Phido.

Teresa - Operations Manager

Hi, I am Teresa, I have worked in the field of hospital care for over 20 years in both clinical and managerial roles. I started my career in biomedical science at eighteen and then moved into patient based clinical settings across various disciplines in medicine. I found a passion in caring for cancer patients and then moved into management of a cancer service department. Caring for patients across all settings from hospital to residential and domiciliary settings, including palliative care.

I originally joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in 2015 after falling in love with the high standard of care that the company delivers and am very pleased to now join the Guildford & Woking team. I am committed to delivering the highest standard of care to clients and family members and am a firm believer in providing the care that we would want for our own family, with an unwavering determination to always put the client's needs and wellbeing first.

Hazel - Recruitment and Engagement Manager

Hi, my name is Hazel, and I'm the Recruitment, Engagement and Networking Manager.

My role is very varied; some days I'm in the office and other days I'm out and about in the community.

I love meeting new people, chatting with them and finding out about their experiences in life, which is why this role is perfect for me as I get to meet and learn more about our potential CAREGivers.

You will normally find me in the office laughing or smiling about something that's tickled my fancy... normally something I've said or done!

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and pets; making memories for the future as that's what life is all about.

My other passion is cake making and creating sugar flowers, I find it very therapeutic.

If you would like to find out more about becoming a CAREGiver then I'd love to hear from you.

Richard - Recruitment & Networking Administrator

Hi, I’m Rich and I am the Recruitment and Networking Administrator for the Guildford & Woking branch of Home Instead Senior Care. I have an enjoyable and varied role that is challenging but rewarding. The main focus of my role is recruiting new employees but I also assist with compliancy, retention and manage several aspects of Home Instead’s online presence. Home Instead is a great company to work for and there is a real team spirit and a sense of satisfaction in knowing that you are doing your bit to ensure people remain independent and stay in their own homes for as long as possible. There is a genuine pride when hearing about the gratitude of our clients friends and family towards our staff.

As a dad, Home Instead has been very accommodating and provided me with an excellent work/life balance that I am very grateful for.

Chloe - Care Co-ordination Manager

Hi, I’m Chloe and I’m the Care Coordination Manager for the Guildford & Woking office of Home Instead Senior Care. I am assisted by Leah in the busy but rewarding role of scheduling. I rota our CAREGivers every week to ensure they have the hours they are available to work and that our clients receive a regular and high level of service. Our clients enjoy seeing the same people and I will do everything possible to make sure this is the case. The role is challenging when dealing with absences and sickness but thanks to the hard work and flexibility of our team, we always find a way! There is a real sense of accomplishment when completing a schedule and ensuring that all our calls are covered for the week. I have two children and a husband in the Army which can require as much organisational and time-keeping skills as my Home Instead role! I love working for Home Instead and being the point-of-call for clients and staff. It’s a great place to work and I would recommend the business to everyone, I just wish people would stop bringing so many cakes into the office!

Leah - Care Co-ordination Assistant

My name is Leah! I joined the Home Instead Senior Care Guildford and Woking office team in June 2018 as an Administrator and I have since joined the scheduling team! My main role is to support Chloe and our lovely CAREGivers with day to day scheduling.

Outside of work, I have a second career making my dream come true show jumping with my pony! I am very busy training him and building a partnership in my spare time when I am not working! I love animals, but joining Home Instead has given me an opportunity to contribute helping the community too!

Liz - Care Co-ordination Assistant

Hello, I'm Liz and I'm part of the Scheduling team at Home Instead Senior Care Guildford & Woking. The main part of my role is working alongside Chloe and Leah with the busy but rewarding job of co-ordinating clients and CAREGivers and creating or amending the weekly rotas. Scheduling is a constantly changing role with lots of challenges such as covering annual leave and sickness but I enjoy the hustle and bustle of it!

I'm married with two grown up children. Outside of work I enjoy reading, socialising with friends, dining out at restaurants and being cosy on the sofa with a glass of wine and a good film!

Alix - Training Manager

Hi, my name is Alix, I joined Home Instead Senior Care 5 years ago when I wanted to go back to work full-time after my sons had grown up. I worked as a CAREGiver to start with, which I loved. I was then promoted to a senior. In 2017 I was 'CAREGiver of the year' for Guildford and Woking and came in the top 12 in the national competition. Following this I was asked to take over the training so I became the Training Manager.

Our Team of CAREGivers

Meet some of our team of CAREGivers. They are committed to providing high quality care to all of our clients, promoting their independence and respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.

Some of caregivers have worked hard to obtain their NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and we have some more caregivers signing up to the new QCF which has replaced the NVQ. Our CAREGivers also work towards a City and Guilds certificate in Dementia Care.

If you would like to join our team of caregivers or would like some more information then please give us a call on 01483 488222 or click on "Contact Us" and send an email.

I am Ex-Sergeant Brodie, Home Instead’s elite Security Force Member.  I was positioned in the unique role within this prestigious home care establishment to ensure that grounds are monitored, staff members and clients are protected at all times and security is maintained 24/7 (unless I’m asleep).

My service on the force commenced over three years ago after establishing my DBS (Dog Barking Service) award when barracked in the Royal Woof Force.  I come highly credited with a long serving background in protecting fellow humans from all other species.  I inspect the grounds at scheduled points of the day and have a strictly professional relationship with my employers.

Caring for humans and protecting my work place is the only objective in being a respected part of the Force.

Humans come first. Period.

Phido - Brodie's very noisy assistant

I'm Phido Brodie's very noisy assistant. When I'm allowed into the office, I am known to lick people and bark alot at people I don't know. So come into the office and make yourself known to me.
