Andrea Hampshire

Owner, Managing Director

Hello, I am Andrea Hampshire the proud owner of Homeinstead Senior Care, Godalming territory.

I have worked more than 20 years for different multinational FMCG companies  before I decided that I would run my own business. I wanted to do something more meaningful and satisfying in the rest of my life.

What could be better than supporting the elderly in my local community and also to become one of the best employers of Waverley.

We aim high and we deliver.

I am aiming to create 50 new, local care jobs across Godalming, Haslemere, Cranleigh, Pulborough, Billinghurst, Petworth and surrounding areas, by this time next year.

My journey of caring for older people began at age 13. By chance, I met a lady who was standing outside her rather imposing looking care home. She told me that nobody ever went to see her, so I started to make regular visits and she loved my company, we talked for hours. But what was also special, that I enjoyed the experience just as much as she did. Ever since then I’ve had lots of valued friendships with older people, we all have so much to learn from each other.

I`ve never forgotten how uninviting that care home looked. Negative stories about the care industry have always stuck with me as well, so I decided I wanted to take a fresh approach and do things differently. It’s an absolute privilege to be making it my own business to care for our older generation.

If you or your family member need quality care to remain independent at home, I would love to find you a companion who can assist you with your needs and help you live the life you want.

Please do get in touch!

Recruiter, Gail Grace

Gail Grace

I am delighted to be a part of the Home Instead Senior Care team in Godalming as a Recruiter.  I have many years’ experience of recruiting in London for a variety of companies.  I am keen to use my experience to help my colleagues build a strong CAREGiving team in order to fulfil the growing need for quality CAREGiving - helping the older generation maintain their quality of life and independence for as long as possible in the home.

I have a huge personal  respect for our CAREGivers and it is really important to us all at Home Instead that our wonderful CAREGivers feel supported and valued.

Through my previous roles at AGE UK Waverley in Cranleigh, Citizens Advice Bureau and Driving Miss Daisy I have found a real love of the older generation and  from there I decided I wanted to help more directly by training and working as a CAREGiver with Home Instead in my local community.

My own personal experiences with my aging parents  enabled me to understand just how important it is to spend precious time with loved ones. I have gained valuable experience of looking after people living with onset dementia and I had the touching privilege of staying with a client through her various life transitions over a period of time.

Part time Admin and Care Coordinator

Hi Everyone, I am very pleased to be invited to join the office team at Home Instead Senior Care, Godalming.  I have spent many years as a CAREGiver in all types of situations and I am experienced in domiciliary care.  I am thoroughly enjoying this new challenge and putting all my organisational skills to use. I enjoy administration and putting together effectively the scheduling for the CAREGivers within the context of care coordination. It is very satisfying to make sure all of our clients have their visits when they need them and I thoroughly enjoy communicating with all our wonderful CAREGivers and fulfilling their availability to their satisfaction.  It is a win win! :)

I am a Mum to two girls aged 5 and 9. I live in Alfold near Cranleigh.  Our house is full of gorgeous bunnies (yes!) and a dog.. and of course my lovely husband.... (not in any particular order of preference!) :D

Vanessa Brown, CAREGiver

Vanessa is one of our fantastic CAREGivers.  Here is her story.

I have had horses all my life although my family are not horsey at all!   On leaving school I worked as a riding teacher and then I went to work training horses and carriages. My main career was in the police force and I remained there as a Constable for 30 years. I retired in 2017 and then decided I had more to give and wanted to work with the elderly and I found Home Instead and I have worked with them since November 2018. I love the work and find it hugely rewarding and fulfilling. The office are supportive and responsive.
