Partnership with Exeter University - Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy for Dementia

We were delighted to be selected as the initial care provider to partner with Exeter University Medical School's research team and receive cutting edge training as Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapists.

Pioneering this innovative, method of re-awakening and re-training the brain to recall tasks or overcome challenges we are delighted to have thre trained Cognitive Rehabilitation Practitioners working on staff.

Over the coming weeks and months we shall be working closely with the University and a few carefully selected early/mid stage dementia clients in the delivery and monitoring of this ground breaking therapy.  The ethos allows a person with dementia to identify specific areas of challenge (eg remembering grandchildren’s names, how to follow directions, or addresses) and work  intensively toward retraining the brain to remember these cherished aspects of life.

We are excited to be chosen as part of this unique research and training which will enhance the lives of our clients, the initial stages look extremely promising.
