Community Workshops

Home Instead’s companionship led home care helps ageing adults to live well in their own homes and to remain connected with the communities in which they live.

One of our values is to support communities and organisations all over the City. So while we’re not quite ready to welcome you back in person to events at our offices, we are going to run a couple of virtual workshops in the coming weeks for anyone with a personal or professional interest in dementia care.

Dementia CAREGiving is based around our City & Guilds accredited dementia training programme. On Wed 14th July between 12.30pm and 1.30pm we’ll learn about different types of dementia and how to use tailored meaningful activities effectively with the people we care for – both for their benefit and to help reduce CAREGiver stress.

Then, developing on these themes on Wed 11th August between 7pm and 8pm, we’ll explore how to become a Music Detective and the benefits of Playlist for Life to people living with dementia - including restoring a sense of self and improving mood.

Depending on demand we may put on other events. Please email [email protected] for details and to book your place.
