Andrew Senew - Owner

Andrew has a background in accounting and project management and often jokes that he’s far too interesting to be an accountant! He has a strong vision for Home Instead and strives for us to be experts in ageing and elderly care and be an employer of choice, providing truly compassionate care to our clients every day. He bases our services on one simple question – Would Home Instead be good enough for my own mum? In his spare time he enjoys cooking, travelling and spending time with his wife Joanna and daughter Iona.

Joanna has many ideas and is always happy to talk to clients, organisations and charities about the future of care and possible ways for everyone to work together. She recalls visiting the Home Instead National Office prior to the opening of Home Instead Edinburgh and feeling a sense of enthusiasm and purpose which inspired her to grow our service to the highly successful and value-based home care provider that it is today. She loves spending time with her family and exploring new activities for everyone to do together.

Allana Anderson - Care Manager

Allana Anderson - Care Manager

Allana’s role is quite varied as she is involved in all aspects of what we do. As our care manager, Allana helps everyone in the office to make sure that all of our clients and CAREGivers have a great experience during their time with Home Instead. She has worked both in childcare and care of the elderly for 19 years so it’s safe to say she can get along with just about anyone! In her free time, she enjoys photography, gardening, going for long walks and sewing.

Shona Reynolds - Care Supervisor

Shona Reynolds - Care Supervisor

Another one of our care supervisors, Shona focuses on keeping new and existing clients happy and getting to know what their needs in care are. Through client consultations, she is able to assess what the best service for each client is, and whether any changes in service are required over time. Her work life is perhaps less hectic than her home life – she has three children and two cats who keep her very busy at home!

Joan Meaney - Co-ordinator

Joan Meaney - Co-ordinator

Joan has over twenty years of experience of working in the care sector and has a lot of knowledge and life experience that she brings to the table. As our scheduler, she matches clients and CAREGivers together and ensures that arranged time slots suit everyone’s availability. Everyone recognizes her to be an efficient and reliable multitasker.

Hazel Cross - Care Supervisor

Hazel Cross - Care Supervisor

Hazel is one of our three care supervisors. She looks after our CAREGivers, making sure they are supported and have access to all the information and training they need. Having started out as a CAREGiver herself and having volunteered within dementia and befriending services before, she understands both CAREGivers’ perspective and the requirements of a CAREGiver’s role. She enjoys gardening, making jewellery and spending time with her family.

Elaine Cleat - Care Supervisor

Elaine Cleat - Care Supervisor

Our third care supervisor, Elaine, performs service reviews, quality assurance reviews and care consultations, and is always happy to welcome new clients on board. Similarly to Hazel, she was also a CAREGiver with Home Instead prior to taking up her current position and understands all aspects of care. In addition, she has a background in healthcare and has been around CAREGivers throughout her whole career. Elaine, unlike many of us, actually likes going to the gym! It is important to note, though, that she also enjoys baking cakes on a regular basis…

Kathryn Cameron - Recruitment Administrator

Kathryn Cameron - Recruitment Administrator

Kathryn is our HR Administrator and manages employee files as well as many other aspects of recruitment. Having previously worked in several similar HR roles, she’s an absolute magician with paperwork. She enjoys working in the care sector as she gets to be a part of a friendly and relaxed team and meet great people. In her spare time, she loves going out with her family to country parks or the beach.

Marina Milosheva - Community Networking and Recruitment

Marina Milosheva - Community Networking and Recruitment

Marina has a background in Psychology and Human Resource Management and handles CAREGiver recruitment. When she’s not drawing up recruitment plans and doing interviews, she often goes out in the community, looking for caring and compassionate people of all walks of life to join the Home Instead family. She is a big fan of rock music, cats and video games.
