About Home Instead Cardiff
Home Instead Senior Care Cardiff has been operating since September 2009. We are a multi- award winning care provider, and winners of the top prize "The Spirit of Care" at the Wales Care Awards 2012. The business was set up by a local man, Philip Batchelor, who previously had worked as a Director and Managing Director of large food manufacturing companies. Philip's wife, Kate, joined the business in 2014, after a senior career in teaching, and is committed to achieving excellence for our clients and to making us the local "employer of choice" . We are proud to provide high quality home care for over 150 older people in Cardiff, Penarth, Barry & surrounding areas.
Philip decided to get involved in the care sector, having a number of years ago, experienced a situation when his father had terminal cancer. It became apparent that there was little provision for home care help to support the excellent medical attention that his father was receiving, and Philip’s brother had to give up his job to bridge the gap.
Philip met Trevor Brocklebank, the Founder of Home Instead UK, at a national franchise exhibition and found the company’s vision to “change the face of ageing” truly inspirational. Philip was sure that Home Instead Senior Care specialised in the kind of high quality care that had previously been missing. Outside of work, Philip is active in his local community including as; a member of The Veterans' Mental Health Support Group, Chair of the Penarth Dementia Friendly Steering Group and a member of The Rotary Club of Cardiff Bay.
The Cardiff Home Instead Senior Care Office is part of a global network of more than 1,000 locally owned and operated offices. We are thrilled to be spreading the Home Instead brand of person-centred home care to people in Cardiff, Penarth, Barry & Dinas Powys.
