At Home Instead Senior Care Bury, we like to be involved with the Alzheimer’s society, especial when the Memory walk is in Heaton Park about a mile from our office. Here is a picture of Cath helping out on one of the stalls, it was really good day.
Lots of our CAREGivers attended to show our support for people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. One CAREGiver actually completed the two kilometre walk, while escorting her client. Both loved the walk and the client told us just how much he appreciated all the people who gave their time and money to support this great cause. Over £64,000 was raised from the walk, which is a fantastic effort by everyone who took part.
We also would like to thank Mott the Hoople for allowing us to help the Alzheimer’s society collect over £300 at their recent concert at the Apollo in Manchester. The bands original drummer Dale Griffin, is unable to perform due to Alzheimer’s. They really showed their support by allowing us to collect. What a great gig and a great audience for giving us all that money.
