Bromley home care company celebrates 10 years of providing older people with care at home winning, three awards at the Bromley Care Awards
June was an exciting month for the team here at our Coney Hall offices. We celebrated 10 years of providing outstanding home care in the borough of Bromley, supporting older people in their own homes. And what better way celebrate 10 years than being recognised as an award-winning home care provider!
The Bromley Adult Care Awards aim was to shine a light and formally thank individuals for the extra miles they go to make sure our clients are safe, well looked after and able to live their best lives, no matter their circumstances.
Bromley Council have launched the event to celebrate the adult social care workforce across Bromley and highlight the successes of staff in the borough and show their appreciation for the work they do.
There were 6 categories in total, and we were over the moon that Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington were recognised as finalists for every category in the home care sector. It’s safe to say that the evening was an outstanding success, with Home Instead winning 3 out of the 6 awards categories!
WINNER of the Worker Award – Kellie M
This award recognises the significant role of the Care Worker in consistently providing a high-quality standard of care for people living in their own homes, wherever that is.

WINNER of the Manager Award- Sarah L
This award is for the manager who has demonstrated a high level of expertise together with exceptional skills in managing the complex business of running a home care business. The winning manager will show vision in developing person-centred care and supporting staff to meet the ever-changing needs of service users.

WINNER of the Diane Smith Award (for outstanding contribution to adult care in Bromley)
This special award was presented to the individual who can demonstrate to the judges how they have made an outstanding contribution to enhance the lives of people by delivering person centred care whilst making a long-term outstanding contribution to adult social care. Nominations were reviewed on the quality, breadth, and impact of the individual’s contributions to adult social care in Bromley & it’s community.
“There were 25 nominees for the Diane Smith award and so to be named the winner is wonderful. I have been working in health and social care for 10 years doing work that I love, with kind and caring colleagues, striving to make older people’s lives happier each day. I am rewarded every day knowing that the work we do makes a difference but to have been recognised with this award for having made an outstanding contribution to adult care is a great honour which I really appreciate”. – Karina
