Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington, is launching free Dementia sessions to provide advice and support to the local community, particularly those who have a loved one living at home with dementia.
With the uncertainty and fear of the future being a significant challenge for many, Bromley based home care provider, Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington are keen to provide families in the local community with a hub of information to start the conversation around support and ‘what’s next’ for an ageing parent or family member.
The sessions will focus on dementia, specifically addressing how to support a loved one living with dementia. The workshops will provide support and advice for loved ones and family members, as well as a safe space to talk openly about concerns, addressing topics such as behavioural changes and communication as well as signposting to local Dementia services and support groups.
Karina Brown, Owner of Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington said: “As a home care company providing support to individuals in our community with Dementia, we feel it’s our duty to raise awareness of the condition across the local area and the sessions are the perfect opportunity to do so”.
Karina continued: “The sessions are free to attend and a place where older people, their carers or family can come along and ask any questions they may have in a relaxed environment”.
Our next sessions are Tuesday 25th July and Thursday 24th August, from 10am to 1pm at the Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington office, 76 Croydon Road, Coney Hall, BR4 9HY.
