Home Instead continues to be a leader in ethical home care recruitment – becoming an accredited Real Living Wage partner.

The Real Living Wage is based on the cost of living across the UK.  Whilst it is compulsory for all employers to pay the basic minimum wage as set out by the government, the Real Living Wage is paid on a voluntary basis.

The current national minimum wage is currently set at £8.36 with the national living wage (for over 23s) set at £8.91.  The Real Living Wage encourages employers to pay at least £9.50 per hour to employees in line with the real cost of living. 

Home Instead Wrexham & Flintshire are pleased to be able to offer above the Real Living Wage for all employees, as well as being in the unique position of paying CAREGivers for travel time between visits.
