Home Instead hosts first wellbeing event to promote safe and healthy living at home

On Thursday 1st February, Home Instead will be hosting their first Health & Wellbeing event, aimed at supporting older people in their quest to continue living well at home.

Home Instead will be hosting their first Health & Wellbeing event in February, aimed at supporting older people in their quest to continue living well at home for longer.

Taking place on Thursday 1st February at Wrexham Wellbeing Hub, the event will bring together a number of different professional and community organisations who will be able to offer preventative advice, information of staying fit and healthy at home, and useful information to help plan for the future.

Organisations that will be in attendance include:

  • Falls Prevention Team
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Continence Service
  • Vision Support
  • Parkinsons UK
  • Alzheimer’s Society Memory Pathway
  • Age Cymru
  • Dementia Friendly Wrexham
  • DSL Mobility
  • Wrexham Community Agents
  • North Wales Fire Service

FREE Health checks including blood pressure and pulse checks will be available from the Stroke Prevention Unit.

Allington Hughes Law will be in attendance and will be offering a presentation regarding Lasting Power of Attorney – something which comes up time and time again, but can be invaluable when planning and protecting your future.

There will also be a fun mini taster session of Singing for the Brain, showcasing just one of the community activities that are available for wellbeing in Wrexham.

The event is completely free to attend – we know how daunting and time consuming it can be when you’re gathering information so this is a great opportunity to come and speak to the experts at one easy-to access event.
