Take a trip down Memory Lane

Twice a month, Home Instead Wrexham and Flintshire run a Memory Café in association with Wrexham Dementia Friendly Communities.

The Memory Lane Café, which takes place at St. Giles Church in Wrexham town centre on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month, is a relaxed environment where older people with dementia or other memory problems, along with their family and friends, can come along for support and advice.

You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and participate in a variety of suitable, mindful activities such as music, crafts, bingo and gentle exercise.

At each session, we also spend time reminiscing about old times, providing an escape from the fast-paced world that is often confusing to people with Dementia.

It’s also a great way to meet others who are in a similar situation and share common interests with each other. We know that Dementia can be extremely hard on families so sometimes just having a safe space to chat with other people who understand can be a huge relief.

The Memory Lane Café is completely free to attend – if you care for someone with dementia then please do come along to see what’s on offer. Refreshments are provided and free car parking is available.
