In partnership with Parkinsons UK
Today (11th April) is World Parkinson’s Day.
Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition – this means that it causes problems in the brain and will get worse over time.
There is currently no cure for Parkinson’s, however with the right treatment and support, the condition can be managed to maintain quality of life.
We are really pleased to say that we are working in partnership with Parkinson’s UK to share training and expertise.
Following the initial training phase, we will have recognised in-house Parkinson’s UK trainers who will then be able to roll out specialist training to all our CAREGivers.
Home Instead are working with Parkinson’s UK to champion the message that people living with Parkinson’s – and their loved ones – can continue to live well at home.
Our aim is to provide education and support to families to help them live happily, comfortably and independently at home, and offer them the right support for their needs from our trained CAREGivers.
