Home Instead is the world's leading provider of non-medical companionship based care in the community and has over 160+ offices nationwide. The Welwyn & Hatfield office is now looking to recruit additional people to join our fabulous team of CAREGiver's who look after our elderly client's in their own homes within their community.
We are looking to recruit a number of CAREGiver's to enable us to grow and face the challenges that 2021 will no doubt bring. We are facing those challenges with confidence because we know that our CAREGivers are highly trained, exceptionally skilled, and really do pour their heart and soul into the caring of our elderly clients.
We look after people who reside in the following locations : Borehamwood, Brookmans Park, Hatfield, Potters Bar, Welham Green, Welwyn and Welwyn Garden City and are looking to recruit part-time staff who can travel within these area's.
It is essential that you have your own 'car', this is because we work in the community and travel between people's homes, and are not just travelling to one destination daily - This is non-negotiable.
By working together we can make 2021 an exceptionally good year for our client's and for our CAREGiver's. After all, can you think of a better way than to start the year with a new job, working with people who really recognize your worth, and who look forward to seeing you each day?
As stated if you are looking for evening or week-end work and have your own car then we are very happy to discuss with you the opportunities we have available working within the Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City areas.
I am often asked 'What makes a great CAREGiver'? I think above all else, flexibility, reliability and sensibility really hits the mark.
We look after elderly vulnerable people so we need to be able to think out of the box and if we see something we think needs looking into then we should have the gumption to act immediately.
We look after clients personal care meaning assisting them to wash & dress, catheter and continence care is essential to make sure they are comfortable at all times. We also undertake light housework, meal preparation, shopping and whatever is needed dependant of course on the individuals capacity and personal needs.
We also look after their mental well being and companionship care is an integral part of the job.
We need our CAREGiver's to be highly professional at all times and offer superb training to ensure there are no gaps in your knowedge.
As suggested our training is second to none and covers everything you would need to know and is based initially over 5 days. Continuous Professional Development is encouraged and offered throughout a CAREGivers career with us and incorporates Dementia and End of Life Care. We encourage you to undertake life long learning.
We do require you to have your own CAR - ESSENTIAL and NON-NEGOTIABLE.
We also require you to have clear and concise verbal communication skills because some clients have hearing loss or dementia and need to understand what is being told to them.
I am happy to answer any questions that you might have and I am Patricia Eagling, Recruiter and can be reached on 01707-240650 or email me at: [email protected]
