Home Instead is the world's leading provider of non-medical companionship based care in the community and has over 160+ offices nationwide. The Welwyn & Hatfield office is now looking to recruit additional people to join our fabulous team of CAREGivers who look after our elderly client's in their own homes within their community.
We are looking to recruit CAREGivers to enable us to grow and face the challenges that 2021 will no doubt bring. We are facing those challenges with confidence because we know that our CAREGivers are highly trained, exceptionally skilled, and really do pour their heart and soul into the caring of our elderly clients.
We look after people who reside in the following locations : Borehamwood, Brookmans Park, Hatfield, Potters Bar, Welham Green, Welwyn and Welwyn Garden City and are looking to recruit part-time staff who can travel within these area's.
It is essential that you have your own 'car', this is because we work in the community and travel between people's homes, and are not just going to one destination daily - This is non-negotiable.
By working together we can make 2021 an exceptionally good year for our client's and for our CAREGivers. After all, can you think of a better way than to start the forthcoming year with a new job? working with people who really recognize your worth, and who look forward to seeing you each day.
Is it just a job? or is it a career? It really is what you wish to make it.
The wonderful thing about the Care Sector is that you can commence your career working on a Part-Time basis and later on down the line when your availability increases you can convert to full time working or progress to a management position. CAREGiving is one of the very few opportunities that allow that to happen.
We are seeking people who can work a mixture of shifts covering between 10-20 hours each working week, with the ability to cover some shifts on alternate week-ends. If that suits your schedule then lets speak about the opportunities we have available. Call me Patricia Eagling on 01707-240650 or email me on: [email protected]
Home Instead CAREGivers look after the elderly in the community, most clients are living in their own homes and our CAREGivers travel daily between clients. Each client has different needs, some have mobility issues, some have Dementia, some have medical issues, some just want a bit of support to do the things that are now to difficult to do by themselves.
The services we offer cover Personal Care (help with washing and dressing, toiletry, continence pads and catheter care). Home Help duties (meal preparation, light housework, shopping, washing up) and also Companionship Care (walking, taking to social events, reading, listening to music). Our CAREGiver's assist and support the individual needs of each of our clients, which means two days are rarely the same.
We are not seeking any specific academic qualifications because we offer Award Winning Training opportunities. We also believe in Continuous Professional Development and we will ensure that you continue to be highly trained and at the top of the profession during your career with Home Instead.
We do INSIST you have your own car - you need a car to travel between clients and to ferry them to appointments - Public Transport just does not cut it.
We also INSIST you have clear and concise verbal communication skills - Our clients, some of whom have hearing loss or dementia need to understand what you are saying to them.
All of our positions are part-time and we like our CAREGivers to have flexible working patterns that will require some evenings and shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate week-ends. Tell us what you would like to do and we will try to work with you where we can.
All positions are subject to four references and successful DBS clearance.
All positions require the CAREGiver to have their own transport.
You will be expected to work in multiple locations on a daily basis.
