Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical companionship based care in the community and has over 160+ offices nationwide. The Welwyn & Hatfield office is now looking to recruit additional people to join our fabulous team of CAREGivers who look after our elderly clients in their own homes within the community.

We are looking to recruit CAREGivers to enable us to grow and face the challenges that 2021 will no doubt bring. It is essential that you have your own Transport, this is because we work in the community and that means travelling between people's homes, and not just going to one destination daily.

Job Description

" What does a CAREGiver do" ?

The answer to this is " Whatever is needed to make our clients, happier, healthier and more contented with life" and we do this by ensuring we know what support they need and then we provide that support. This will include:

* Assistance with Personal Care, which could include help with bathing, dressing and grooming. Help with changing continence pads and catheter care, provide medication reminders, assist the clients to eat and drink.

* Home Help Services, including running errands and collecting prescriptions, performing light housework tasks, plan prepare and tidy away meals, organise and tidy cupboards, clear the fridge of out of date food.

* Companionship Services, offer companionship and conversation, stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities, card and board games, walks, music, social trips, accompany to appointments.

Qualifications

It is ESSENTIAL that you have a car.

It is ESSENTIAL that you have clear verbal communication skills as some clients have hearing loss or Dementia and need to understand what is being said to them.

We do not require any specific academic qualification as we undertake to fully train all CAREGiver's recruited and this Award Winning Training does not stop there. We undertake to Continuously Professionally Develop you throughout your career with Home Instead Senior Care, Welwyn & Hatfield.

Additional Information

All of our positions are part-time and we like our CAREGivers to have flexible working patterns that will require some evenings and shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate week-ends. Tell us what you would like to do and we will try to work with you where we can.

All positions are subject to successful DBS clearance.

All positions require the CAREGiver to have their own transport.

You will be expected to work in multiple locations on a daily basis.
