Company Description

Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical companionship based care in the community and has over 160+ offices nationwide. The Welwyn & Hatfield office is now looking to recruit additional people to join our fabulous team of CAREGivers who look after our elderly clients in their own homes within the community.

We are looking to recruit CAREGivers to enable us to grow and face the challenges that 2021 will no doubt bring. We are facing those challenges with confidence because we know that our CAREGivers are highly trained, exceptionally skilled and really do pour their heart and soul into the caring of our elderly clients.

We are seeking people who value their own skills and recognize that they have transferable skills to offer us and with our Award Winning Training and your own hard work we can make you an exceptional CAREGiver.

It is essential that you have your own Transport, this is because we work in the community and that means travelling between people's homes, and not just going to one destination daily.

By working together we can make 2021 an exceptionally good year for our clients and for our CAREGivers. After all,  can you think of a better way than to start the forthcoming year with a new job working with people who really recognize your worth and who look forward to seeing you each day?

Job Description

When you care for people in the community you really get to the heart of what matters to people and that means being very flexible and adaptable because each day brings it's own set of challenges. We are seeking CAREGiver's who have the ability to turn a problem on its head and who are decisive and love solving these challenges.

The CAREGiver role requires an abundance of skills and talents to ensure that the clients who you support, have the best care that is available and to help clients and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care and compassion. Our CAREGivers offer support by assisting with:

* Helping with Bathing, dressing and grooming

* Help with continence care

* Provide medication reminders

* Assist to eat and drink

* Provide with Dementia care

* Provide respite or convalescence care

* Assist with morning wake up and evening tuck up

If you feel that you could contribute between 10-20 hours a week which covers mornings, evening and shifts on alternate weekends then I will be delighted to hear from you. I am Patricia Eagling and I can be found on 01707-240650.

We are recruiting now to commence with us early in the New Year.

Qualifications

A car is ESSENTIAL and is non-negotiable - this is because you are travelling within the community daily and are not just based in one location.

We also require you to have EXCELLENT verbal communication skills - our clients may have hearing loss or dementia and can struggle to understand.

We provide Award Winning Training - this means that we are not looking for specific qualifications because we undertake to fully train you in all aspects of Community Care. We do require you to commit fully to your training schedule and the Continuous Professional Development that we have planned for you during your career with Home Instead Senior Care.
