Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical companionship based care in the community and has over 160+ offices nationwide. The Welwyn & Hatfield office is now looking to recruit additional people to join our fabulous team of CAREGivers who look after our elderly clients in their own homes within the community.
We are looking to recruit CAREGivers to enable us to grow and face the challenges that 2021 will no doubt bring. We are facing those challenges with confidence because we know that our CAREGivers are highly trained, exceptionally skilled and really do pour their heart and soul into the caring of our elderly clients.
We are seeking people who value their own skills and recognize that they have transferable skills to offer us and with our Award Winning Training and your own hard work we can make you an exceptional CAREGiver.
It is essential that you have your own Transport, this is because we work in the community and that means travelling between people's homes, and not just going to one destination daily.
By working together we can make 2021 an exceptionally good year for our clients and for our CAREGivers. After all, can you think of a better way than to start the forthcoming year with a new job working with people who really recognize your worth and who look forward to seeing you each day?
Our role is to care for the elderly in their own homes and to ensure we assist them with maintaining their independence for as long as possible. This can involve a variety of tasks and of course each client is an individual and requires different levels of support but broadly speaking it involves a combination of the following:
* Help with bathing dressing and grooming
* Help with continence care
* Assist to eat and drink
* Assist with morning wake up and evening tuck up
* Accompany to appointments and social events
* Plan prepare and tidy away meals
* Monitor diet and eating
* Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities
Remembering that each individual has their own specific set of needs, each day is different and you will need to use all your skill and talent to ensure each client's needs are satisfied.
We INSIST that all of our CAREGivers have their own car, this is ESSENTIAL.
We require all of our CAREGivers to have exceptional verbal communication skills because some clients have hearing loss or dementia and they have to be able to understand what you are saying to them.
We provide an Award Winning Training programme covering all aspects of Care in the Community so we do not require you to have any specific qualifications. Though we do require you to undertake this training programme with enthusiasm and to undertake all further Continuous Professional Development offered to you.
All of our positions are part-time and we like our CAREGivers to have flexible working patterns that will require some evenings and shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate week-ends. Tell us what you would like to do and we will try to work with you where we can.
All positions are subject to successful DBS clearance.
All positions require the CAREGiver to have their own transport.
