New Year New Career - CAREGiver's Part-Time hours
Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical companionship based care in the community and has over 160+ offices nationwide. The Welwyn & Hatfield office is now looking to recruit additional people to join our fabulous team of CAREGivers who look after our elderly clients in their own homes within the community.
We are looking to recruit CAREGivers to enable us to grow and face the challenges that 2021 will no doubt bring. We are facing those challenges with confidence because we know that our CAREGivers are highly trained, exceptionally skilled and really do pour their heart and soul into the caring of our elderly clients.
We are seeking people who value their own skills and recognize that they have transferable skills to offer us and with our Award Winning Training and your own hard work we can make you an exceptional CAREGiver.
It is essential that you have your own Transport, this is because we work in the community and that means travelling between people's homes, and not just going to one destination daily.
By working together we can make 2021 an exceptionally good year for our clients and for our CAREGivers. After all, can you think of a better way than to start the forthcoming year with a new job working with people who really recognize your worth and who look forward to seeing you each day?
We are now seeking a number of new CAREGivers to join us in supporting the elderly in the community.
We are looking for people who really have a commitment to the role of CAREGiver and who enjoy the experience of working with vulnerable people who need assistance to maintain their independence. At Home Instead Senior Care we really want to make a difference to the lives of others and that means recruiting top people who recognize within themselves the caring nature needed to be successful in this role.
No two days are the same you will be offering a variety of support that includes an element of personal care. Helping someone to get up in the morning to get washed and dressed and ready for the day ahead. This sometimes means lots of personal care by way of catheter management and care and also assisting with changing continence pads, not for the feint hearted or for someone who would be embarassed by such assistance.
We also offer home help and undertake light housework, shopping, collecting medications, some washing and ironing or meal preparation, maybe feeding the cat too! Whatever role we are performing our CAREGivers are also companions and just to have someone to chat to or to discuss the woe's of the world really boosts the mood of an elderly person so lets not forget how important that is.
If you would like to discuss the role in greater depth before commiting to applying for the job then please feel free to call me I am Patricia Eagling and I can be found on 01707-240650, I will be happy to answer any questions.
We insist of all CAREGivers having their own transport - ESSENTIAL.
We also require our staff to have great verbal communication skills as our clients may have hearing loss or dementia and they do need to understand what is being said to them.
We do not need any other academic qualification other than an interest in CAREGiving and a willingness to learn and to continuously develop your skills. Our Award Winning Training and Orientation programme is second to none.
All of our positions are part-time and we like our CAREGivers to have flexible working patterns that will require some evenings and shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate week-ends. Tell us what you would like to do and we will try to work with you where we can.
All positions are subject to successful DBS clearance.
All positions require the CAREGiver to have their own transport.
