Party for Parkinson’s, an event hosted by the Home Instead team in Welwyn and Hatfield in September was a great success, with many people from the local community joining Home Instead and members of the local branch of Parkinson’s UK for a cup of tea and cake.
The event raised a brilliant £50, which the team at Home Instead proudly handed over to Don Ellis, the Chairman of the Parkinson’s UK Welwyn Hatfield Branch recently.
Owner of Home Instead Welwyn and Hatfield, Heather Simms commented, “It was so lovely to be joined by so many of the local community for a cup of tea and cake. We would like to thank our local Waitrose store for their kind donation of tea and coffee.”
She continued, “From my experience at Home Instead, I understand the importance of organisations such as Parkinson’s UK for elderly residents and their families in the local area. They provide such great support and advice.”
