Home Instead Open New Office in Stirling

Award winning team bring award winning care to Stirlingshire and Falkirk

A husband and wife team behind home care company Home Instead Senior Care are expanding their organisation and are bringing their award winning care to Stirling and surrounding areas including Falkirk, Bridge of Allan, Dunblane, Balfron & Killearn.

Suhail & Tasnim Rehman also own Home Instead Senior Care in Glasgow, north and south. The company provides non-medical care and companionship to seniors, helping them to remain living in the comfort of their own homes.

The couple have appointed Laura Moffatt, a born and bred Stirling local, as registered care manager for the area. Having worked in care for more than 15 years, Laura now coordinates the team providing home visits to seniors throughout the area. She will also be organising many local community initiatives to support older people including dementia talks, scam awareness events and senior citizen open days.

Laura commented on her new role, “This is such a wonderful opportunity, caring is so natural to me. To see that the support we provide each and every day to our elderly clients is so important to them in helping them to live their lives well. We are really proud to be making a difference; this is more than just a job!”

Laura is joined in the Stirling office by Saeed Ahmed, a long-time member of the Home Instead team, who has taken up the post of general manager. It is expected that the new office will create up to 50 local jobs in the next 12 months.

Suhail, director of Home Instead, said of the expansion, “We are delighted that we are now able to offer our high quality, compassionate care to the older generation in Stirlingshire and Falkirk. We’re also very pleased to have found someone as experienced and caring as Laura to head the care team including our wonderful CAREGivers.

“Like everywhere in Scotland, Stirlingshire has an ageing population. This area in particular has a high demand for home-based care, with a lot of people living alone in rural areas and few options for private care. The service we offer is unique in that we spend time with each client, our visits are a minimum of an hour, and we support them to take part in the activities they enjoy as well as helping them to be part of the community.”

Along the way Home Instead has amassed a string of accolades, including wins at the recent Scottish Care Awards, they have also been voted the most recommended company in the homecare.co.uk awards by clients and their families and are graded 5 by the Care Inspectorate.

Home Instead Senior Care provides a minimum of one hour visits to their clients and their services are tailored to the individual needs of each client. They would typically include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, “Home from Hospital”, personal care, medication reminders, shopping and errands.
