Oldham Home Care service shines in gloomy climate

Home Instead local franchisee, Mick Sheehan, who runs the local home care service in Oldham and Saddleworth has made sure that he stands out from the crowd, be it daytime or night.

Mick, a keen runner has recently started to increase his mileage in preparation for next year’s 50 mile Lake District race, The Lakeland 50 http://www.lakeland100.com/the-lakeland-50

When he explained that a lot of the winter training will be done in the dark to another local franchise owner and keen runner, James Little, who has recently set up the Kirklees operation of Home Instead covering Huddersfield, Holmfirth and Denby Dale, James decided it would be a nice gesture to buy him a special glow in the dark T-shirt to keep him safe.

James said ‘As Mick celebrated his 40th birthday last week I thought it would be a great way to combine safety and advertising rolled into one practical present’.  James added ‘I’m a keen runner as well and being seen is always on your mind when exercising in the winter. I thought of the reflective logo idea for myself but then decided to let Mick try it out. I have to say the result is better than I expected’.

Mick will be choosing a charity for next year’s race shortly and we’ll keep you posted on his progress.
