Dementia Workshop at Home Instead (Oldham) for DAW 2018 (Dementia Action Week)

As part of our continued commitment to raise awareness around Dementia, we put on a morning workshop for people who wanted to learn more about it.

The session took place on Thursday May 24th at our office on the High street in Uppermill, Oldham. Dementia Action Week 2018 is 21st - 27th May and it's a great oppertunity for everyone to think a little more about dementia and it's impact on society.

Our workshop is designed to explain what Dementia is and to share some experience and advice on how to better support someone who has it. Pictured in this shot is ourTraining Manager, Debra, delivering some information on Language and Cognition and how this may be affected.

We have been delivering training sessions and workshops over the last five years and have worked with hundreds of families, professionals, schools and members of the public throughout Saddleworth, Oldham and Tameside.

For more information and dates of future workshops please call our office on 01457 874566. The workshops are free of charge.
