Current Precaution Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

After the recent surge in positive cases in Oldham, we would like to assure you that we are continuing to follow the health guidelines as provided by well-informed sources, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Public Health England (PHE) and our team of experts at our national office in Warrington. We are invested in the wellbeing of our clients and staff.

Listed below is the new guidance set by the Oldham Council:

· To reduce spread between households, we are advising that you do not have social visitors to your home, outside of those in your support bubble
· To ensure we protect older and vulnerable people, our care homes will not relax restrictions on care home visiting
· We are advising those who are clinically vulnerable whose shielding should have come to an end from 31 July to extend shielding for a further two weeks from that date (to 14 August)

We would encourage all people who are vulnerable to follow the latest guidelines. This includes restricting non-essential journeys and contact. If you go beyond your home, wear a face mask (especially in indoor spaces where social distancing is not guaranteed) and regularly maintain good hand hygiene.

At Home Instead we’re doing all we can to maintain a safe and reliable service by notifying clients and CAREGivers of our current procedures in the efforts to stop transmission of Coronavirus. We are regularly keeping ourselves up-to-date with announcements made by Oldham Council.
