If you’re looking for the best care and support, to enable you or your loved one, to remain safe, independent and happy at home, we think you’ve come to the right place.

In June 2019 the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated our service as ‘Outstanding’ for the second time in succession. We received the rating, the highest possible from the CQC, for the quality of our service and it ranks our company in the top three percent of homecare providers across the whole of England. It also makes us the only registered care service in the Oldham area that has achieved this rating.

Inspectors spoke to clients, relatives of clients and our staff members before producing their report, which states ‘everyone we talked to, without exception, spoke very highly of the service, its staff and how it was managed.’ It goes on to say, 'we did not receive any negative comments about the company.'

Mick Sheehan, Managing Director, says about the service “We all do this because we genuinely care. When we hire someone, the question we ask ourselves is would we trust them to care for our own parents? When we find those special people that we trust, we train and support them to really take the time to care with compassion. We’re thrilled to receive our second outstanding rating from the CQC – it’s a real testament to the dedication of our CAREGivers and management team for the support and quality of life they give to clients on a daily basis.”

Our Home Instead office, based on High Street in Uppermill, covers Saddleworth, Oldham and the northern part of Tameside (Ashton, Stalybridge & Mossley areas). We opened our doors for business on 1st April 2009 and at the time of writing this we have supported 740 clients, delivered 280,000 hours of care, currently employ a team of 70 staff, have won 2 national awards, received 5 excellent CQC inspections, and have received numerous thank you’s and praise for the support we’ve provided to the local community.

We offer a range of services and support, from basic home help, through to 24/7 palliative care. We specialise in Alzheimer’s and Dementia support and all our staff are highly trained and well supported by a management team with a wealth of experience.

Although the bulk of our clients are elderly, we also support younger adults with a variety of different needs. Each client is an individual and is supported as one. So it doesn’t matter if you’re 29 or 92, you will receive all the attention to detail needed to ensure that you’re supported to the best of our ability.
