LLANDUDNO MEMORY WALK 2018: SUCCESS!

WE DID IT!

We have successfully executed the third Memory Walk, raising £1,925.74 for the Alzheimer’s Society!

The Memory Walk initiative is a national campaign ran each year by the Alzheimer’s Society. The campaign has managed to raise over £9 million to support everyone affected by dementia.

Our team are passionate about ensuring those living with dementia can live their life as fully as possible, which is why we support the Alzheimer’s Society by hosting a fundraising event every year: Llandudno Memory Walk.

This year was the third year the event took place, which saw over 160 participants of all ages and abilities getting involved. Support for the event has grown each year, reflective in the totals raised having smashed last year’s total by double!

Support came from the Llandudno RNLI , who offered their new Lifeboat Station on the promenade as a perfect venue for our registration. We’re lucky to have had the opportunity to use this lovely building for the past two events and we can only hope the generosity continues for future years.

Llandudno Town Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr David Hawkins and Mrs Amanda Hawkins, said a few words of encouragement before Miss Alice 2018-2019 opened the walk.

Everyone then made their way to Llandudno pier, with Mike Parsons of Cre8tive Studios capturing photos along the way. We thoroughly enjoy having Mike involved with our events and his work is perfect for those lasting memories.
