Growing old can bring challenges, both for the person who’s ageing and for their family. It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. At the same time, it might be worrying for their family as they might not be able to be there whenever their loved ones need them.

We are have had our annual PEAQ survey in our office this week. This is an annual survey by an outside company to see how our Care Professionals are experiencing working here. We get valuable feedback from this survey and use this with feedback from supervisions and training to see where we can improve the experience of working here. Levels of pay, training and development, more guaranteed contracts, travel allowance introduction are all areas we’ve made better through the feedback from PEAQ. We are increasing mileage to 45p soon and looking at working shift patterns to balance Care Professional needs and availability with the visit needs for the people we look after. It’s been great to see everyone coming in the office again and we are going to be carrying on with Tea and Cake Tuesday afternoons. 1st and 3rd weeks in the John Betjamin Centre in Wadebridge and 2nd and 4th Tuesdays here in the office in St St Austell. This year we have a Tombola for everyone. We have 4 silvers
We are looking to extend our services in and around Wadebridge, we are also looking to recruit in this area
