Our elderly care services are fully flexible and can be adjusted as necessary to meet changes in a client’s needs. We first met Edith when her daughter Lisa asked us to take her on outings from her care home in Whitchurch; she was there temporarily for rehabilitation following a spell in hospital. When Edith returned home, we continued to support her but with home help – housework and meal preparation. Unfortunately Edith’s mobility declined and she also became increasingly forgetful. We started providing morning visits to help with a shower, and then also lunchtime and evening visits to address her developing needs. Finally, to continue keeping Edith comfortable and safe, Lisa asked us to provide a full live in care service for her mother.
Whitchurch is Hampshire’s smallest town, with a population of around 7,000. Much of the town is a conservation area and Whitchurch is described as the gateway to the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
