Live-in care enables a loved one to live independently in the home they love, in familiar surroundings, with their carer’s exclusive attention throughout the day. Jean lived in central Tadley, and to help her manage her dementia we visited twice a day to help her sequence her personal care, prepare meals and offer reassurance. As Jean’s condition deteriorated she became increasingly anxious and prone to wander dangerously. Her family asked us to provide live-in care, with the result Jean is now much happier and more settled.

A local legend dating from the 19th century is that there were treacle mines in Tadley, and until relatively recently the locals were referred to as “Tadley Treacle Miners”. Tadley honours the legend by holding an annual “Treacle Fair” in June.
