To us it's personal

Living with dementia doesn’t mean leaving the comfort and familiarity of home, which is why our care is designed to support independence for as long as possible. Our Care Professionals understand how important routine and familiar surroundings can be for reducing anxiety and confusion, particularly as dementia progresses. We’re trained to adapt our approach as needs change, supporting with gentle reminders, meal preparation, medication prompts, or simply providing meaningful companionship to prevent isolation. Most importantly, we respect each person’s dignity and preferences, creating a supportive environment where they feel understood and valued rather than defined by their condition.

Choosing Home Instead West Town, South Hayling for personalised home care

Our support extends beyond the home, helping clients stay connected to the West Town community they love. We regularly accompany clients to local dementia cafés and social gatherings listed in our specially created ‘What’s On Where’ Guide, which we’ve distributed throughout Havant to help the elderly community find suitable activities. Our Care Professionals might support a gentle stroll around Staunton Country Park or accompany clients to relaxing afternoon tea at The Spring Arts Centre, where the quiet atmosphere suits those who might find busier environments overwhelming. We also partner with local Fall Prevention Teams and help clients participate in gentle exercise classes specifically designed to maintain mobility and independence.
