Our team actively supports clients to stay connected with the Emsworth community they love, accompanying them to favourite local spots like Emsworth Harbour for a gentle stroll or to enjoy the wonderful independent shops and cafés along South Street. We regularly take clients to specialist services and events, where they can participate in engaging activities specifically designed for people living with dementia. We are led by Mark, our Director and Registered Manager, who brings nearly 20 years of experience in the ageing sector from his senior roles at Help The Aged and Age UK before establishing Home Instead Havant in 2015. Our office team is based locally – we are always ready with a cuppa and a friendly chat about how we can help. All our leadership team have personal experience caring for family members, giving us genuine empathy for the challenges you are facing. Every Care Professional is directly employed by us (never agency staff), receives our specialist dementia training, and is selected specifically for their natural empathy, reliability and genuine desire to make a difference to people living in Emsworth. Building on this experienced leadership and dedicated care team, we are deeply integrated with local dementia support networks, regularly attending dementia cafés, carer support hubs and dementia planning meetings throughout the Emsworth and Havant areas. Our team runs informative dementia awareness and scam awareness talks that provide practical guidance for both those living with dementia and their families. Each week at The Pallant Centre in Havant, we host ‘Love to Move’ sessions – a specially formulated seated exercise programme set to music that is designed to help slow dementia progression and improve symptoms. By partnering with local GP surgeries and the hospital discharge teams, we ensure support for clients between services, creating a connected approach to dementia care in our community.
